Considering the
fact that the student strike has disturbed the school
calendar in many Cegeps across the province, it is with
great regret that the Cégep de l’Outaouais along with
SPEAQ and the Rascals Steering Committee announce the
cancellation of 2012 Rascals Colloquium, which was to be
held from May 31st to June 1st.
We wish to thank all those involved in the organization
of this event, as well as those who had offered to give
workshops, and the exhibitors who had registered and
reserved exhibition space.
We are certain that you are as disappointed as we are at
this outcome. We are, however, still committed to
having you come to the Outaouais and we cordially invite
you to attend an extraordinary conference in
Gatineau next year. We hope that all those who offered
to give workshops or to exhibit their pedagogical
materials will be willing to come next year. Our theme
Empower the E-Word will remain and we are already
busy trying to find a venue and persuading keynote
speakers to join us.
In the interim, may we suggest you attend the 40th
Annual SPEAQ Convention to be held November 15, 16 and
17, 2012 at the Hilton Québec. The theme this year is
Celebrating Success! You may want to consider
presenting your workshop there and contribute to the
college-level presence. For more information, visit the
